~A summer day~
I have been sewing again! This last week I started a doll dress (as an example for the dress my size). I designed this dress a while ago on paper, and I just found material that works perfectly! My little sister was getting rid of a green, velvet shirt that was too small for her, so I seized the opportunity of saving money on more material, and used it for the dress. In my imagination the dress was to have green velvet, so that shirt was perfect ( for the doll dress that is ). When I do one day make the dress for myself I will have to buy some material, but for the example it was perfect! :) Anyway, up above is a picture of the dress. It isn't sewn together yet, (except the skirt is already finished), but I pinned it up for the picture.
I have to go now...talk to you all later my bloggy friends!

Another story for you all to enjoy!
A maid servant was seen busily hitting away at a large carpet that had been hung on a low branch, to be cleaned, on this warm October day. Her blue dress was nicely kept although patched at the elbows, her hair was kept in a long braid that went halfway down her back in a thick twist, and her cheeks were bright and rosy from the hard work and warm air. She was quite the pretty picture for a group of stately knights who were passing. Although she had the unpretty sight of being chained around the ankle, the other end was attached to another servant who was but ten feet from her.
Pausing a moment to look up Bethendella realized the men were advancing toward her. Setting down her stick, she used to beat the rug, she stood in ready to answer any questions the knights would ask. The tallest of the bunch, who seemed to be their leader, dismoundted from his horse and came up to her. "Where can we find the nearest lodgings?" He asked. Shocked at realizing who he was, she looked down and her toes and answered, "two miles down the road you will come to the town Pemberton, Sir, where there are many fine inns." She dropped a curtsy in respect. His staring was making her nervous, she did recognize him, he was Quillon Broadsworth, her old fiance' and the only man she had ever loved. But would he recognize her?
When they had been engaged five years ago they had been so happy, until her father heartlessly tore them apart because William wasn't rich enough. He had been a simple, poor apprentice to a banker who didn't pay him enough, since he had been so poor her father insisted Bethenella wouldn't marry him, instead he had another man, who was rich and haughty, settled for her. She refused to marry the rich man and for punishment her father sent her away to another providence to live under the stricken rule of her aunt. Aunt Bertha had very little regard for her unmarried niece and soon put her to work with the servants for she couldn't bear the sight of her delicate, pretty niece; jealousy had become strong against Bethenella. And all to soon Aunt Bertha took hold of all of Bethenella's possions for her own use. And put Bethenella in the dirty servants quarters.
For two whole years Quillon sought for Bethenella, but all was in vain. So as a brokenhearted young man he joined the army. Eventually his brave deeds and honest heart duked him a knight for the king. Along with knighthood came a unmarried, unwitty, princess. Her father was fit to be tied with her nonsense and soon had a contest for all the knights, keeping the grand prize hidden so they wouldn't be turned away. Being very good at his occupation Quillon won the tournament, with winning came the silly princess for the grand prize. The king, happy that Quillon would be his son in law, beamed ear to ear as he pronounced that the wedding would be held in one month.
Bethenella thought also of her future, how dreary it looked. Being a servant for her aunt didn't seem very cheery. How badly she would long to be free, and many times she tried to free herself, but the midnight escapes ended in wicked lashings to her little back. And it also brought being locked in at night to her bedroom.
And so here they were, two people who and once been a happy romance together, were now so crually in dreadful situations. "Excuse me for asking, but why are you chained? Have you been a naughty maid?" The humor in his eyes she could all to easily imagine as she stared at her toes.
"No Sir, I don't think I have...that is...oh I don't know! Oh Quillon save me! It is I, Bethenella Tadder!" She said this a small desperate whisper with tears streaming down her cheeks. "Don't leave me here to die!" She threw herself into his arms. But with the movement she wrenched the chain and so bringing the attention to herself to the other servant. The old lady started to hobble toward the two as Quillon exclaimed; "Is it true? I thought you were dead! Oh, my darling, how did this come about?" The question hung in the air unanswered as the old, cranky servant grabbed Bethenella back declaring "what's got into you?!" And Quillon's men came running to see what the trouble was and take him away.......
To be continued. Hope you like it so far!! Drop me a comment if you have suggestions!

~A glimse in time~
I baked some no-bake chocolate cookies that should be really good, but I messed them up as I usually do when baking or cooking. I didn't have any vanilla to put in them and then burnt the chocolate when melting it over the burner :( Not fun!! They really don't taste that bad, just not as good as usual.
I listened one of my favorite Cd's by Remedy Drive. Yes, defiantly one of my favorites.
I also braced the wind and went out for brisk walk clad in a green wind jacket and green crocks. It was a delightful stroll, even though it is horribly dull out.
Oh! I also did the most fascinating chore of folding socks! Not a terrible job, for it's easy going and is rather....boring. lol!
And now I must depart, for my sister awaits me with speech in ready to practice. We are doing a duo speech. It is rather fun for this particular kind of speech involves acting. Which I find some pleasure in.
So long my bloggidy friends!!!
Always yours,

"Social Psychology"
This past weekend I went up with my brother and an older couple to a camp to help set up for the summer. I knew the older couple, but had yet to become acquainted with the older girl who was coming also. Well, let me just tell you we soon became fast friends, laughing and talking a mile a minute. But in all our babble one conversation seemed to always float back to one main topic. And that was the topic Social Psychology. This topic has defiantly become a subject I will closer study into because it interests me so much. There are two categories Extroverts and Introverts. In Extroverts there are Choleric and Sanguine. Choleric are the born leaders. And there positive aspects are
- Task oriented
- Powerful
- Opinionated
and their negative traits are
- Sarcastic
- over opinionated
- think their way is best
- controlling
Then Sanguine are the speakers. And their positive traits are
- Social
- friendly
- talkative
Negative traits
- Gullible
- outspoken
- usually speak of themselves
Then for the Interverts the first is Melancholy, they are the reasoners. Their positive traits are;
- gifted
- analytical
- talented
- can't accept failure
- organized
- passionate
Negative Traits;
- selfish
- moody
- critical
- perfectionist
And last is Phlegmatic, they are the peace makers. And their Positive Aspects are;
- asses options
- observant
- easy going
- selfless
- agreeable
- soft spoken
And their Negative aspects are
- Lack follow through
- lack confidence
- (I need to look up more on the Phlegmatic)
Anyway I enjoyed talking and learning about the different temperaments. I hope you did too, and that I didn't bore you with an uninteresting post =) Maybe this has helped you see what your temperament is, if you want you can drop me a comment telling what you think your temperament is! =) In case you are wondering I am Phlegmatic through and through :)

Sleeping Beauty
Actually Barlow Girl gave me the inspiration in their song "Average Girl" :P
Here are some of the lyrics;
"No more dating, I;m just waiting, like sleeping beauty my prince will come for me... Cause God is writing my love story...
Sleeping is the only thing for me cause when I sleep God's preparing one for me"...
My rewrite of Sleeping Beauty
There she sleeps in her lofty tower, such beauty surrounded by such emptiness. The thorns are slowly creeping up all around the castle like a great guarding dragon. Many princes will come to try and rescue the beauty but all to soon their strength will run out because the man who will rescue her will need much determination and these young princes' are too lazy and not good enough for her. But finally the one prince chosen by the great Creator will come, on his mighty steed, and he will with great patience chop away at the nasty thorns. All during this hard work he will be learning more about the sleeping princess who awaits him. When he finally makes a path through the thorns he will climb the tall tower. And on the inside the princess is waiting; with a kiss he will awaken her, and she will become his bride. And they lived happily ever after!
The End.
Ha! maybe my story is a bit cheesy, but it's a fun idea. :)

Sticky Floors & Hard Rock Times
Then on Saturday night my family and I went to a classical music concert. They had this really good baritone singing. It was very good, but quite the opposite of what I heard the night before! :) After the concert they had a lovely dessert spread. mmmm, there were so many delicious desserts! I truly shocked my brother and sister by eating someones dessert that they had left at our table. See some people had been sitting at a table, and once they left we used it but they didn't clear their leftovers so a plate of desserts was sitting in front of me, tempting me (f.y.i. the food hadn't been eaten off of) so I ate it. My siblings thought me very gross, but the food was undamaged so why shouldn't i eat it? lol! I guess I was in a weird mood, I don't usually do stuff like that!
Then last night I went with my older brother to youth group. TO ANYONE WHO HAS AN OLDER BROTHER: Aren't we blessed!!!! It is so nice to have an older sibling to drive you around, no, really, he came too so he wasn't just driving me around :) Then on the way home we decided to try out a different road. Bad idea! I wouldn't suggest it in the dark. For a little while we were quite lost, but then we found the right road and continued homeward.
I'd better be going. Sorry if I confused you with my weird post... I just felt like a long post :)

A Commitment to Modesty
I want to be a girl who strives to portray Jesus Christ in all my thoughts, moods, actions, words, and even in my clothing. I want to be a girl who dresses in a way so that I will be in no way a stumbling block to my brothers in Christ. In my attire I want to portray Jesus, wearing nothing that attracts wrong ideas, or acting like nothing that is wrong. It may be hard, but I want to strive for modesty in every area...
"Likewise also that woman should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control"... 1 Timothy 2:9
Christian young men have personally said that they don't even want to look at a girl if she is dressed in a way so that it's immodest, and that it's hard to concentrate on what she's saying when she's dressed this way. So, why do we want to tempt them in such a wicked way? We don't, so PLEASE, girls, don't wear immodest clothing!
I hope that every girl who reads this will also want to commit to modesty, so that we are not harming those godly young men around us, and in a way harming ourselves.
If you truly want to be commited to modesty, and know, in more detail, about clothes that are proper, you can go to www.therebelution.com/modestysurvey/

The Princess and the Pea
It is a one week production, so there is only this week to get prepared for it then the show will be
on Saturday. We practice every night this week for four hours each night. It is slightly tiring, but the strange thing is that I get home then I can't sleep! My brain just won't stop!
Well enough about that for now. Maybe I'll tell you more about it after the show is over....
Oh, spring is in the air!! It is so wonderful!! We are getting rain for the first time this year. And in our backyard we have tulips and daffodils coming up! But I think the best part was that this morning as I was eating breakfast I saw a robin!! He was sitting in a pine tree. HOORAY FOR SPRING!!!
Bye, Bye 4 now!!! :)

Discovering God is Reliable
"I am the LORD, there is no other, I speak the truth, I declare what is right." Isaiah 45:18,19
So often I am disappointed because the people I am relying on let me down. It's actually rather foolish of me to rely and hope SO greatly on these people because they are just humans! They cannot possibly fulfill everything I expect from them because they are not God. This is what I am having to realize, that people will continue to let me down, BUT Jesus Christ will never. He is reliable for everything! sometimes His purposes and ideas don't match mine, well, then this is when I need to take a step back and let Jesus take hold. Christ truly is reliable!

Waiting
Sometimes it feels like nothing is working, like we are making no progress in this world just sitting waiting, always waiting. Did you know that when we are waiting is often when the most is happening? sometimes we can only see a small portion of what is awaiting us, like looking through a crack at a beautiful garden, at the moment we can only see a little itsy bit. Maybe when we are waiting is when Jesus is preparing us for what is up ahead. Waiting can seem so long, but it really is sometimes for our best. I have had to learn this in my life. I say "I want to rush on ahead! Why must you hold me back?" Jesus says; "Patience my dear, we will get there soon, all to soon." I'm really glad that He holds me back, I am mean what horrid troubles I would be in if I countinued to rushed at every whim and wish I had!

I Wonder......
It is wonderful to know that Christ has the man I shall marry already picked out for me, and He knows the plans He has for me which is ever so reassuring to me.
Sometimes I get worried wondering what will happen with my life, but I don't need to because Jesus has my life spread out like a map all I need to do is follow Him. You know, there will and is hardships in our journey but we must not be discouraged. Life by no means is easy, the Evil One is always out there to show disappoint and discouragement in some way, trying to pull us slowly from God's side. All to often we give in to his tempts and taunts, I am sad to say I did tonight, I gave into a horrible lie. One of the most common ways the Evil one will try us (especially us young ladies) is by telling us we are worthless, ugly, or unwanted. Oh, dearie me I believed this lie for a few moments tonight, and that is all he wants, those few moments of believing him. There is a constants battle girls, That we HAVE TO FIGHT AGAINST!! Now please don't freak out, Jesus is battling hard for us, it is not up to us to face evilness alone. Just as Alsan came to the rescue so will Jesus! But is is up to US to make the choice; will we believe that Jesus is all that He really is?

Allow me to Paint you a Picture~
The blue in the sky is slowlying fading away to an icy appearance as the warmth of the sun is not there to brighten it, reminding me constantly that it will only become more bitter if I stay out in this bone chilling stillness of a February evening. The sky is not the only reminder that I must hurry home, no, my nose and toes are also saying they are quite to cold to remain out of doors much longer, so I must break the stillness of the sunset's last moments and make the long journey through the, fast approaching, darkened forest. I pull my deep blue cloak more snugly around myself as I start homeward....
This is not a story of my happenings, but of an imaginary girl in my head. I need a little help though. Particularly on her name??? Any thoughts?
And what do you think this girl should encounter on her journey home? Should she be kidnapped? Or how about a strange man appears before her, and insists upon helping her home...
Should she become injured?? Please do me the great honor of dropping a comment in my "mailbox" to help me decide :)

Considerations~
This verse seems to be extremely opposite of what the world tells us. Today's world tells us we need to be false to fit in, to act all out of character and be boisterous. It seems that loud girls fit in better. But no, this is not true at all! 1 Peter tells us that quietness and gentleness are precious in God's sight. How much more excellent and pure God's opinion is! So why do we listen to the lies of the world? Well, one reason would be that we want acceptence? Or maybe we want attention? Or we feel lonely? But, truly I am finding all of these things and more from clinging to Jesus. He has become the dearest Father that I have always longed for. But not only that! He has become everything to me.
I am not perfect, no very far from it! But Christ is helping me see the areas where I need to continually work on. All to often I find myself overreacting to the slightest things, instead of taking a rebuke or judgement calm and peacefully I fly of the handle and assume wrong things. One of my highest goals is to be a young woman growing after Christ, gently and quietly.
